Today BBC published “A 13-year-old eagle huntress in Mongolia” on their website about the photographer Asher Svidensky. He traveled through the west of Mongolia to visit the Kazakhs of the Altai mountain range in western Mongolia. These people are the only people that hunt with golden eagles, and today there are around 400 practising falconers. Ashol-Pan, the daughter of a particularly celebrated hunter, may well be the country’s only apprentice huntress.
The above picture is my personal favorite.
Please make sure to visit the photographer’s site to watch all his pictures of Ashol-Pan.

Of course all pictures are copyrighted by the photographer, Asher Svidensky!

Below are five beautiful pic’s from the same article – have fun, I know I did!
Just one problem: decide which one do I want to have printed and put up on my wall….
